hello everyone, it's dakota!

Ok, so Dakota's going to shift things over to himself and start typing a little bit about himself:

my name is dakota. i am 9 years young. i have 3 brothers and sisters. amber is 20. mariah is 18. and jon ryan is my brother in law and is 22. i got a hundred things for christmas at 2008. i like to eat a lot. my favorite thing to eat is chef boyardee. and i lovvvveee to play. i like to dance. i like christmas music. im a wrestler. in a year i'm going to go hunting with my uncle joel. i like to play the games pirana panic and uno and twister and stack tower. i like to roll on the floor and do dance moves. my favorite songs are pump it by the blackeyed peas and baby got back and ice ice baby. i like dinosaurs and pokemon cards and trading cards. my favorite holidays are christmas, easter, and my birthday. but my favorite thing to do with mariah is play games and have picnicks. and i do like to take pictures with her and take pictures of animals. but myself is good about me. i like looney toons, spiderman, batman, superman, jurassic park 1 2 and 3 but my favorite movies are batman, batman forever, batman begins, batman the dark night, spiderman 1 2 and 3. my favorite spiderman movie is number 3. i like to watch ninja warrior on the tv. i like to put together puzzles with my grandpa. i like to play games with nanie. i like to read with my mom at night. i like to collect rocks. i want to go to the mountains with amber one day. i like to play so much i get crazy like a cheetah and a lion mountain and all the animals in the world. my favorite colors are red, blue, white, and gray. but my moms favorite color is purple. mariahs favorite color is pink. and i think ambers favorite color is red, white, and blue like the american flag, but i don't know. i want a wii and i will because i have the boxtop and i might get it. i like to listen to music on projectplaylist.com. i like dinosaur games and i will play them every minute. i hope everyone has a wondderrrrfulll wonderful roll on the floor day. goodbye everyone! ps did you like this?

The World Is Made Of Spaghetti

So I'm just sitting here and I can't sleep at all. Luckily, I don't have to go to school until Tuesday. But anyways, I'm just sitting here and I can hear Dakota snore and I must say, it's just adorable! He looks and sounds so peaceful when he sleeps (even though he sleeps in the most awkward positions as you can see in these pictures). He always tells me about his dreams. Even though half of the time they're bad dreams, it's interesting to actually sit down and listen to him tell me how and what he dreams. He gives me so much detail it's like I'm actually there in his dreams. I always wonder what goes on in his mind. What does he know? What is he feeling? What does he think about? He's so full of life and has so much fun all the time, and I love that about him. How he has SO much energy that he could share some and STILL have more. When it's just me and Dakota, he's such a different kid, but definitely in a good way. He's always better when he's only with one other person. But when he's particularly with me, it's so different and unexplainable. He always wants to play games, and he's SO good at making up new games. He loves to take funny pictures, and even hold the camera and actually take pictures by himself. Sometimes I just wish I could be him for a day. Just to see his perspective on life. One day, him and I were just out in our field and laying on our quilt making pictures in the sky, and he told me that the world is made out of spaghetti. And he told me that it's made of spaghetti because we're all connected. Some things he says, I think is just hilarious...but when I think about it harder, yes they may be funny, but that's just how Dakota sees things: as funny. He's the funniest person I know, and he knows just what to do and say to put that smile on my face. Over the summer, Dakota wanted to "make a band". So he gets our his guitar and I get out mine, and he also gets out his drums and says, "Ok, that's make a band! We'll call it....THE HOKEY POKEYS!" No idea where The Hokey Pokeys came from, but I went with it. I start to play my guitar and he plays his drums and right in the middle he shouts, "CUT! CUT! CUT!....I GOTTA USE THE BAFFFROOOM!" He's just hilarious! Well, I could go on and on about Dakota, but I really need to TRY and go to sleep. So, I hope everyone has a GLORIOUS day today. I know I will, and I'll talk to you cool cats later! =]

Dakota: "You know that orange melon thingy?"
Me: "Ummm Dakota, sweetheart....that's a cantelope"

Me: "Let's dooooo it!"
[He starts playing his drums and I start playing my guitar]
Dakota: "....CUT CUT CUT!...I gotta use the bafroom!"

Mom: "Dakota, what do you want to take your medicine with? Yogurt?"
Dakota: "I don't like yogurt!"
Mom: "Well what DO you like?"
Dakota: "I like...."
Me: "...big butts and I cannot lie!"
[Our mom about killed me]
[♥] Dakota: "Grandpa, are these big-piece puzzles hard for you to do?"
Grandpa: "Well, I guess not."
Dakota: "Well, the box says ages 5 and up and you're wayyyy older than that!"
[♥] "Mariah, when I'm taller than you, I'll be your big brother!"
[♥] [Dakota wrote this on his door!]: "Do not come in my room if you lick toys!"
[♥] "The world is made of spaghetti...because we're all connected!"
[♥] "My elbows are CROCOGATORS!"
[♥] Dakota: "What superhero is on my shirt?"
Me: "ummm I don't know...SPIDERMAN!"
Dakota: "Nope, BATMAN!" [while he rips his jacket off...haha]

So, this blog is all about Dakota! Dakota is my 9 year old "big" brother. Yes, I said big brother because Dakota thinks that since he's taller than me, he's my big brother...lol. But I guess in a way he is. So anyways, this blog is just a place where I can post pictures of all the fun and interesting things Dakota and I do, and all the funny things Dakota says.
